A Message from Our President

2025 is now upon us, and I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for making 2024 a successful year of travelling across the country to make sure we are there supporting the families of our fallen brothers and sisters. Without our supporters and members, we would cease to exist. I would also like to recognize our board members for working tirelessly to assure that we kept our mission alive. Being in the “City that never sleeps”, all of our members worked countless hours of overtime and time away from their own families themselves. To then volunteer their time to make sure our organization stays up and running is no easy feat!

I would like to take another moment to highlight something that I saw a lot in 2024, and I would like to bring it to the attention of anyone who might read this Blog….

All too often, we travel to funerals where a law enforcement member has been killed in the line of duty. We make our arrangements and get set to send our members across the country to make sure we are there to provide monetary relief to the family in need. When we do this, we occasionally post a Fundraiser, or a post looking for additional donors. When this is done, it is simply because the cost to send our travelers to these funerals is costly, and unfortunately, money doesn’t grow on trees. We rely on the kindness of our donors (and membership dues) so that we can make sure our mission continues. Many times, I see people “Like” or “Heart” our posts. This is great and shows that our message has been received by the public…. But when I speak to some of these people who comment on our posts, the answer that I get many times is “well, i just figure that a lot of people donate to you guys, so I didn’t”. This is unfortunately NOT the case!! Many of our fundraising efforts fall on deaf ears, and although you support what we do, we ask for a little more, if you can spare it.

We have over 22k likes and 23k followers on Facebook.

21k followers on Instagram

3100 followers on our newly created X account.

A small donation from each of these “followers”, which I believe can also be supporters, would go a very long way! If you believe in what we do, and care to actually support our mission, please consider a donation today…even better, become a member!! We have memberships for everyone; whether you are an active cop, retired or just an associate member. I would love to see 2025 be our most successful year as far as membership and donors are concerned!

Stay Safe out there, and thank you for your continued support towards Brotherhood for the Fallen NYC.
